When to use Ziyon

When a late question could cost more than an early answer.

You do not need specialist preparation for every borrowing request. Ziyon becomes more useful when the stakes, urgency, complexity and cost of disruption make earlier visibility valuable.

THE VALUE TEST · FOUR QUESTIONS
StakesHow much is asked for, against the size of the business?
UrgencyHow long until the lender needs an answer?
ComplexityHow many entities, lenders or unusual balances?
Cost of failureWhat happens if this is delayed, reduced or declined?

Two or more weigh heavily? Earlier visibility is likely worth the fee.

Inside a credit process

Three things that shape how a file is read.

I

The memo frames the decision.

By the time a file reaches committee, the analyst's write-up has already shaped how it will be discussed.

II

Every document is read against every other.

Accounts, forecasts, VAT returns and bank statements should tell one story. An unexplained difference can undermine a strong case.

III

Questions answered early are rarely asked late.

Explaining the margin dip or the related-party balance in the pack is easier than explaining it under a deadline.

Where Ziyon tends to fit

An established business.
A material credit event.

Typically an owner-managed UK company with £2m–£20m turnover, around £500k+ borrowing or facility exposure, and no internal lender-side credit function.

These are indicators, not admission rules. The relevant question is whether the cost of delay, lost flexibility or management distraction is material enough to justify the work.

Where it may not

You may be able to proceed without us.

A straightforward, low-value, non-urgent request with consistent information may not need specialist preparation. Your existing advisers may already have the questions covered.

Urgency also limits what can be achieved. An independent review cannot remove a deadline, repair every structural weakness or promise an approval.
